“The most satisfying compliment a reader can pay is to tell me that he or she feels personally addressed.”  Say what you will about Christopher Hitchens, but he always struck a chord with me and I always felt personally addressed. One of the greatest writers of all time, in my opinion.  Sad day. This is an article he wrote about having cancer and the tragedy of losing his voice.
